Phased launch schedule of 3rd-level .es domain names

Phase four - Landrush (Due to open 10 December 2003)

Pre-registrations are now being taken on NetNames website at www.netnames.com

Phase four will allow all registrants who satisy the eligibility criteria shown here:-

• .com.es Available to individuals and entities with an interest or link with Spain.
• .org.es Available to non profit entities with an interest or link with Spain.
• .nom.es Available to individuals with an interest or link with Spain.
• .gob.es Available to Spanish Public Administrations.
• .edu.es Available to Spanish entities undertaking educational research activities that officially recognised.

Phase three - now closed

Phase three allowing Natural entities and individuals located in Spain to apply for the new 2nd-level domains .com.es, .org.es and .nom.es ran from Oct 16th to Nov 4th 2003 and has now finished.

Phase two - now closed

Phase two of the introduction of the 2nd-level domains .com.es, .org.es and .nom.es which ran from 5 Oct to 15th Oct 2003 has now finished. This phase was for Spanish Public Administrations such as foreign embassies, consulates and government bodies.

Phase one - now closed

Phase one period which ran from July 10th to 8th August 2003 has now finished. This was a period for existing holders of a .es domain to register the corresponding .com.es, .org.es and .nom.es domains.
